Upgraded Campaign Website for Incumbent
“We love it!! Thank y’all so much!” was Campaign Manager, Stephanie Dehondt’s message to Red State New Media when Corbin Van Arsdale’s new website went live. Stephanie will be the first to admit that the journey to a new campaign website was a learning experience.
Corbin Van Arsdale was first elected to the Texas House of Representatives in 2002. Facing a battle in the Republican primary to retain his seat in 2008 called for upgrading his internet presence. Well intentioned Van Arsdale supporters offered to build a campaign website.
The supporters soon discovered that good intentions and the ability to use website development tools don’t always produce a professional website. With precious time slipping by, a Van Arsdale supporter contacted Red State New Media for help. Confident that Red State New Media could customize an existing design to meet the expectations of the Van Arsdale campaign, an agreement was signed.
That’s when the “fun began”. Seems there was quite a delta between Representative Van Arsdale’s vision for his new website and what the supporters had in mind. Red State New Media worked with campaign manager Stephanie Dehondt to deliver a website that fit Corbin Van Arsdale’s vision.
Red State New Media’s goal is to over-deliver to our clients. In this case, we recognized how often Stephanie would need to update the website with new campaign events, photos, etc. To make updating easy, Red State New Media built website maintenance tools into the website so no other software is required to make updates. Stephanie’s response….
