The more letters to the editor written by Republicans, the more chance to have our opinions printed! Express your opinion often!
Tips:
- Reference the article that you are reacting to.
- Be brief - 125 words or less (200 maximum). The more to-the-point you are, the better your chances of getting into the paper.
- Include your name, address and phone (for verification), or your letter may be excluded.
Talking Points
Talking Points on Affordable (Subsidized) Housing
- Westchester residents did not discriminate against anyone based on race.
- Residents are left holding the bag for Andy Spano’s personal negligence and/or alleged malfeasance.
- Affordable Housing forced on a community makes the rest of its housing stock unaffordable – it is an unsustainable scenario.
- Taxes go up; property values go down; people move out; towns are blighted.
Talking Points on Health Care Legislation
- Not about Health Care – it’s about power and control over the most personal aspects of your life
- The federal government is using your money against you
- The federal government is inherently inefficient, therefore the term ‘government-run affordable healthcare’ is antithetical or oxymoronic
