Chairman's Message
Dear Fellow
Republicans,
 Would
you like to make a difference in your community, meet great people and
have fun, all at the same time? Then, I encourage you to get involved
with the Republican Party of Kings County.
California is facing many critical issues in this coming year:
- Governor
Schwarzenegger inherited a $22 billion debt when he
took office. Find
out what you can do to help move his agenda forward to reduce that
debt.
- Redistricting.
Contributing to the dilemma in Sacramento are the gerrymandered assembly
and senate districts that make it next to impossible to get a Republican
majority in the state legislature. Despite the fact that Kings County
always votes Republican, we have no representation in the state legislature.
Keep up with
the latest efforts to force a change.
Here's how you can make a difference:
- Fill
one of the openings in the Kings County Republican Party. To be
considered for appointment to one of these openings, attend the next
regular monthly meeting held the
second Wednesday of the month.
- Become
a precinct captain. There is a possibility that a special election will
be called this year to vote on a redistricting proposition. It is important
to have precinct captains in place!
- Sign
up for our newsletter so you can keep up-to-date and be notified about
redistricting efforts.
- Become
a candidate for a local office. Non-partisan offices are great way to
get started.
- Make
a cash donation.
