Dear Fellow Nevadan,

Thank you for re-electing me to serve you in the United States House of Representatives. I deeply appreciate your support and trust, and I am honored to serve as your representative in Nevada 's 2nd Congressional District.

During this legislative session, I will work hard to ensure that your interests are protected in Washington. As a vigorous advocate for senior rights and benefits, I will work to ensure all seniors have access to affordable modern health plans. Protecting American security is also a vital part of my service to this state. Although I cannot promise that we will never again suffer an attack, I can assure you that our efforts in intelligence and in homeland security are paying off in countless instances of stopping the terrorists before they can strike.

In addition to security issues, I will continue to work in various capacities to ensure that Nevada 's primary industries and small businesses are represented and that Nevada 's citizens can enjoy the benefits of the resources of this state. I am absolutely opposed to the federal government maintaining control of so much of Nevada 's lands and resources and intend to continue fighting to put Nevada 's lands in Nevadans' control.

I am also pleased that an overwhelming number of Nevadans turned out in a show of support for the Education First Initiative. I am confident that this initiative will be a step forward in ensuring that our most valuable resources—our children and grandchildren—receive the priority they deserve.
