STUDENTS FROM KING'S ACADEMY DEMONSTRATE SUPPORT FOR THE PRESIDENT.

ABOUT CHRIS HAUGEN

Chris brings a common sense approach to dealing with the issues impacting Silicon Valley today:

The Issue Chris's Common Sense Approach Current Bay Area Representatives
Homeland Security
Number one responsibility of the Federal government is to protect the citizens from our enemies.

• Islamic terrorists attacked the US on 9/11 and are the enemy.

• US is a sovereign nation and determines its own destiny.

• The Bush administration is the enemy.

• US should seek permission from the UN.

Education
Local control means better education.

• Local control of education.

• Students must achieve competence in basic subjects: reading, math, language, history and science.

• Use Federal dollars to dictate policy to local school districts.

• School responsibility is to impart values that will enable children to live in the global community.

Jobs for Silicon Valley
A business-friendly environment creates jobs.

• A business-friendly environment.

• Encourage entrepreneurship by reducing regulations and taxation.

• Promote guest worker programs that provide jobs for foreign workers.

• Solution of every problem is a tax or fee.

Illegal Immigration
Enforce the law, reduce the burden on tax payers and help protect the US from terrorists.
• Enforce the laws that are on the books.
• Federal government and local agencies need to work together.
Ignore the problem:
• 25% of the people crossing the Mexican border illegally are not Mexicans.
• California spends almost $2.2 billion annually to education illegal immigrant students—enough to pay the salaries of 41,764 teachers or 14% of California teachers.
Preserving American Values
We cannot go to France and become a Frenchman….but Frenchman, Indians, Vietnamese, Mexicans and people from every nation can come here and be Americans!

• We are all Americans because we buy into a set of ideas, upon which our Founders brilliantly based our nation…the value and responsibility of the individual, and the rights of man derived from God, not the state.

• We must focus more on what we have in common, rather than our differences.

• The culture of assimilation that built our great nation preserves American values and knits together the fabric of our country.

• Promote multiculturalism.

• Focus on diversity.

• Undermine our foundation.
